Default Floorboard extension install question.

Bought some floorboard extensions and went to install them but can't get the rear bolt on the right side to budge. I'm afriad to put too much more pressure on it for fear of breaking it. Anyone else have this problem or suggestions on removing it? As always thanks for any help.

I have come across the same situation. I have used a short pipe for added leverage. You are trying to break a 1/2-13 bolt free. As long as you have the allen wrench properly seated you should be able to loosen the bolt.I am assuming that you are working on an "08 or earlier model.

Thank's I'll try that. It's on a 07 Ultra. Do they put locktite on the threads from the factory or do you recomend using it on reinstall?

That's what I had to do. That was the only pain during the install.

i eventually had to put the allen wrench on it and given there wasn't much clearance give it a few "taps" with a rubber mallet just enough to get it moving, did the trick for me. If you manage to break that bolt by hand, i'd be pretty impressed.

Some can be really on there.

I'd recommend using Loctite when you install the new bolts so they don't vibrate out at an inopportune time.
