Labor Estimate

Labor Estimate
Ok, i know i see these all the time, but i'm trying to get an idea if this is a good estimate of labor cost or not. I'm looking to have essentially a big more kit installed and the bike dyno'd. My dealer quoted me $750 to install the jugs/pistons/heads and dyno the bike. This is assuming i carry in all necessary parts to them. I know the dyno is kind of an x factor, i know what their shop rate is, just dont' know how much they charge for dyno tuning. Anyone have a feel if this sounds reasonable?

$750.00 all in to install and dyno tune your bike??
I would think that is a pretty good deal, considering I paid a lil over a grand two years ago to have my 95cui Kit installed by a indidependant shop.
I was raked over the coals I think, but I wanted it done and the guy got it done over the weekend and I was breaking it Monday afternoon after work.
Dyno time I have read here and other places runs from $100.00 an hour and may need 4 hours of dyno time.
4 hours is a pretty long stretch if you ask me ...Cause with all the bikes that are running around in the various yet similar configuration a Good Shop shouldnt take more than 2 hours to tune your bike.
I am by No means a Professional Builder or Tuner (if I have ruffled a few feathes I will appologize now), but after spending hard earned money over the years I can tell between a Good Shop and a ....
If you trust the Guys and Gals working on your bike, then by all means spend your money there.

This sounds about right. You're getting a good deal.Just make sure it's a "quote" and not an "estimate". For my bike, the "estimate" went over by 25%.

Give me another week, I am in the middle of breaking it in now. Depending on the weather I hope to have it back on the dyno for the final tune tomorrow night. Going to do a 200 mile ride tonight to get me up to 500 miles.
