Default Brighter head light for the bagga' ?

I have a 08' FLHX with the stock head light that has the light output of less than a 4cell mag light. Anyone have another lamp in the stock bucket light that actually works? Please direct me to the vendor...even if I have to change out wiring to accept the larger wattage. I do not want add on accessory lighting, ie electra glide bug eye's. I have Phillips projector ralley lamps in my D MAX pick up, looking for the same if its available. I dont care if its DOT approved, I just want to be able to see the light.

Check out HID's for it. There is a forum vendor that sells them and numerous brands available on the net. A friend of mine just got a Bosch kit. Very nice although it had to be wired directly from the battery. He got the 6000k temperature light light. Motorcycle Metal sells some very nice HID kits. He is a forum member as well. Drop him a line and I am sure he can help you.

sylvania silver star ultra alot brighter, do a search of this forum to find out exact part #. I believe it's 9009 but not for sure, the package says H4 compatible. Don't go over 65 watts or you can damage the reflector. More watts equals more heat. I got mine at Autozone for about $50.00 they only come in 2 packs. But you'll need to replace it in about a year so you'll already have one. You can also get silverstars for your spots.

Default 80/100 wagner bulb

Is anyone using the Wagner H4 bulb stock number BP1210/H4 from NAPA auto stores ? I had one in a 05 Nomad with excellent results not sure if Ultra Classic wiring, socket, and fuse are sufficient.

will it work safely in my 09 Ultra Classic...??

I was just looking a this bulb and noticed this
"PIAA replacement bulbs are a fast and easy way to improve your motorcycle's headlight output. Simply remove the stock bulb(s) in your headlight, driving lights, turn signals, brake lights, or tail lights, and plug in a PIAA. Using exclusive PIAA XTRA technology these bulbs produce more light without drawing more power."

and then is says:

"PIAA motorcycle lights are intended for use solely as auxiliary lighting. PIAA motorcycle lights are not intended to be used for headlight purposes, nor are they certified for headlight usage."

wtf?

If you can't see with the stock light you shouldn't be riding at night! Remember this, a brighter light will blind oncoming cagers and that could be a problem, especially if they aim for you.

Here are two different options: 7 inch super bright white LED headlight: For more information on Truck-Lite's 12v LED Headlamp, view the online catalog page.
For additional information, please contact:
Truck-Lite Co., Inc.
310 E. Elmwood Ave.
Falconer, NY 14733

Or the company I used for my HID light, which is HIGH and LOW beam HID (most aren't)

http://www.xtralights.com/

I got the 6000K which is very bright and pure white

The wiring is very easy, their instructions are perfect and the electronics fits in the fairing. Their relay kit connects you to the battery directly so the there is NO drain on the OEM wiring. You pull the plug off the back of your headlight bulb and plug that to their 'plug'. No cutting, splicing, or problems. 8 months now.
