I was cleaning my air filter on my 08 Ultra and noticed the the throttle body and the SE back plate dont line up very good. the bottom the throttle body is "inside" of the AC opening by about 1/8inch or so and the top just the opposite. I was wondering if others had this same "offset" issue?

 

Is the black bracket from the stock AC removed? This was a problem with the original 08 SE kit as the instructions were misprinted and folks left the bracket on which caused a gap. Make sure your bracket up top is removed. Here is a pic showing the bracket that needs to come off.

 

As noted above, it sounds like the OEM throttle body support bracket was not removed when the AC was installed.

 

Nope, I took off the bracket when I installed it. There is no gap just seems the plate's circle opening does not match perfectly the throttle body opening circle. I will try to get a picture of it.

 

Elongated mounting holes maybe?
