Was planning on going but while stopped at a local watering hole on the way there, people there told me it was a total waste of money. They said there were only a hand full of vendors, and no bike games because they couldn't find any participants.
We rode by and the lot was pretty full.........of cars???
Was it that bad? Was I smart for skipping it or did I miss a good time?
We went with a group of friends and it was not worth the $25.00 admission. Maybe a total of 10 vendors was there. The $25.00 would have been better spent at the local watering hole. I'm sure it was a financial flop for whoever held this bike fest.
You sir have just saved $50, If there were 2 of you. I on the other hand lost $50. Wife and I were in Htown for something else (no-bike) and kept seeing these ads on the freeway for bike fest. We went and paid the $50 and wrote it off as a donation.

Maybe you didn't go into the indoor vendor area (behind registration) there was 3 more vendors in there
I work in Conroe, didn't know a thing about it. Almost everyone I work with are Harley riders and none of them mentioned it either. Doesn't sound like they did a very good job promoting it.

I heard it was the same people that put on a rally at Johnson Space center for the last couple of years. Went to it last year just to check it out and it was expensive and lame. A few vendors and because it was at the space center....no beer. I heard that's why they moved it so they could sell beer and have camping. I love Mean Gene Kelton but if they are going to try to attract a crowd, they are going to have to do a better job pf promoting it and book a bigger name act.
The first year of the rally in Baytown was pretty lame too but at least they booked Rick Derringer and Kenny Wayne Sheppard. They put on a great show and made it worth the admission and the boredom during the day waiting for them.
Thanks for letting me know that I didn't miss anything at the Space CIty Bike Fest.
