I did the J & Ms. I did not like the sound so I took them out and put in Hogtunes. To my ears the Hogtunes sound better, but still not where I want it. Yesterday I ordered the Biketronics 2 channel amp and the 6.5 speakers. The new amp and speakers should do it. If not, then next spring I will update the radio.

I have J and M for the past 2 years. Great speakers with factory system and after market amps which I now use.

Highly recommended and EXCELLENT customer service.

I have a 08' ultra and have had both. There both a great upgrade from stock but I thought the J&M's with the tweeters sounded better with more volume. Don't get caught up in spending alot of money for a system when the stock radio with upgraded speakers will work just fine. Remember your bike radio sounds great in the garage and not so good going down the road at 70 mph with the wind blowing so your never going to get that perfect sound.

I hear the radio just fine at 70mph.. with Firecap501's 6.5 ARC speakers and the mini ARC amp 125.2 amp. Also have the Hogtunes Hogpod(tweeters) with the above system.

It's even better playing mp3s... radio gets static/stupid commercials and stupid radio announcers.

Kinda makes you wonder when people say they have gone from so-in-sos system to the next system and then tell you they still have problems hearing the radio at 70mph cruising down the highway. Then dump money into an overly expensive system with odd ohm speakers...and hope for the best.... (shrug)

I put the HCUS-05GTM-B from J&M and like em. I don't have anything else but the stock stereo and I think they sound good. I also have some pretty loud pipes..

I have never tried Hogtunes so cannot compare.

The J&M high-performance speaker upgrades with the grill mounted tweeter-midrange for the Harley StreetGlide/Ultra/RoadGlide are 3-5 db louder than stock WITHOUT an amp ,,,, and that is significant ,,,,,

You will definitely hear that kind of difference on the highway ,,,,,,

They are absolutely the most efficient speakers you can use with the stock Harley audio system and models are available for the 1998-2010 Harley Dressers ,,,,,,
