J&m headsets

Upgrade
Do your ears a favor and upgrade to the J&M's if you have the stock Harley headset. The speakers on the stock Harley headset's are CRAP!
You don't need to replace the entire stock Harley headset if you already have them, just order the replacement speakers from J&M for about $60.00. Of course you will need to cut out the stock speakers and solder the J&M's in.

My 2009 is my first Ultra. The only issue I had was trying to balance out the volume between the driver and passenger headset. I have it set pretty good now.
Just a little frustrating as my voice naturally projects louder than my wife's. I have an open face and she has a full.
I am happy with J&M Corp. I just find the Ultra is a little harder to adjust than my 99 Wing.

I'm using the J&M Elite headset in an Arai full-face helmet on a 2009 Ultra and love it. A friend of mine who commutes 108 miles a day and always listens to a stereo through a headset told me to just use my foam earplugs (as I always do) and it would not interfere with sound quality. He's right. It's as clear as if I were sitting in my living room listening to the stereo. I don't get any wind noise and (at moderate stereo volume) can still hear any important road noises.
I never carry a passenger and would never bother with the CB, so I didn't even install the microphone and I can't say anything about the intercom capabilities.

I have both the J&M Elite (in my 3/4 helmet) and the J&M Performance Series (in my Modular full-face). I can attest to the superior quality of the J&M product! IF you have a SHOEI helmet, I would suggest you go with the J&M Performance Series (HS-BCD279-UN-HO) because the headset pocket in the SHOEI's isn't 'as' deep as other helmets and the Performance Series actually works a bit better for fitment.
They both perform VERY well (IMO) compared to the junk Stock headset from H-D.
I purchased my headsets from Sierra Electronics and have been very happy with their prices & service.
