I have several conversations with folks about my Street Glide that go something like this:

Other person>"Now which Harley is that?"

Me> "That's a Street Glide."

Other Person> "Oh, so which is the really big Harley?"

Me> "Well, the Street Glide is the big one, but with less chrome and no trunk."

Other Person> "No, I'm talking about the really big Harley. What is that one?"

Me> "Well, I think you are talking about the Ultra. The Street Glide is basically the same bike, but without a trunk and chrome."

Other Person> "No, the Harley I'm thinking about is a lot bigger than yours, do you know which one I'm talking about?"

Me> "Oh yes, now I understand the one you are talking about, that is the Ultra. I guess you are right, that is the really big Harley"

I've had several of those conversations. I've learned that it is easier to admit that I have a Street Glide, the "small" Harley. Sheesh!

p.s. I also learned if you use tour pack instead of a trunk, the conversation will go another 10 minutes.

 

Non believers are just ignorant. Tell them what they want to hear. They'll forget, or get in wrong 5 minutes later anyways.

If yours is the small one, I hate to think what mine is.

 

That's why I changed from my SG to my Ultra, I was just too big for the SG!
