I always thought of the Street Glide as the sportster of the touring family. It really is a
S mall
G lide..or touring Vespa.

I haven't read though all these posts but I believe around here it is the "learner bike" that gets you ready for the Ultra. LOL

Had that same conversation when I made my tour pack detachable. One of my co-workers asked what happened to "my other bike." I said this IS my bike, I just removed the trunk. He said, "No, you used to have that big Harley..."
