Tell them you're training on this until you can ride a Road King...

Talking That is correct

If you take the saddle bags and fairing off the Street Glide it is about the same size
as an 883 LOW Sporty.
Now the Ultra and Ultra Classic are big bikes, even the Road King is Huge compared to the SG.

Other Person> "No, I'm talking about the really big Harley. What is that one?"

Me> "Well, I think you are talking about the Ultra. The Street Glide is basically the same bike, but without a trunk and chrome."

Other Person> "No, the Harley I'm thinking about is a lot bigger than yours, do you know which one I'm talking about?"

Me> "Oh yes, now I understand the one you are talking about, that is the Ultra. I guess you are right, that is the really big Harley"

I've had several of those conversations. I've learned that it is easier to admit that I have a Street Glide, the "small" Harley. Sheesh!

Beary

p.s. I also learned if you use tour pack instead of a trunk, the conversation will go another 10 minutes.

Well Crap.
First I had a Sportster, then a Deluxe, and the next thing I hear is my new Street Glide is a small bike.
I hope I didn't buy 3 girl bikes in a row!

Heres another one for you.

I know a guy who wants to buy an ULTRA Classic. Absolutely insists on an ULTRA Classic.

But get this,

He does not care about the CB..."wont ever use it".
He does not care about the intercom..."wont ever use it".
Plans to take the lowers off "98 percent of the time".
Doesnt really care about the rear speakers, "I don't listen to music when riding"
Does NOT like the look of the tourpak brake lights.

I asked him why he does not just get a Classic, and add cruise control, and possibly rear speakers if he decides he wants them, and save $1000-$1500

Nope, he wants an ULTRA Classic. "Gotta be an Ultra"

I asked if he just really likes the pinstripe/two tone layout of the Ultra vs how its done on the Classic. He said he never noticed a difference.

But its GOTTA be an ULTRA Classic. "cause its top of the line"

A streetglide is like a 69 Camaro it is the most popular in it's brand and the most desirable.
Every Harley when they grow up wants to be a StreetGlide....

I had a long time acquaintance argue with me that I used to own a Sportster and would not agree with me when I told him it was a Low Rider. He also thinks my Road King is not the "big" Harley. I finally told him "yeah, you are probably thinking of the Harley Ford F-150".
