I'm sick and tired of narrow minded assh...es that blame Canada for every law or policy that might infringe on your PERSONAL rights. Leave Canada out of your petty minded diatribes; God knows we have our own **** to worry about.

I used to have a $500.00 brain bucket and it said right on it even with it on death can occur at speeds as low as 5 mph so the rider who died at 15 and the one who didn't at 80 have nothing to due witht he bucket on the haed and maybe the guy at 80 did't hit his head I HATE HELMET ****'S F*&K that bucket it will not automaticly keep you alive.

I'm am pretty sure just about everyone of us would opt for a plug pull if we became a veggie...so bring on a waver. Truth is there is research on both sides, one stating that a dot helmet will save your life (no guarantee as to the quality of life you will be left with) and the other saying that the heavy DOT lid will snap your neck in the event of a go-down. I don't think Washington politicians need any input from Canada..they think they no whats best for us already.

I feel that a rider should have the choice, but that is not the point of my post.
The point of my post is that the officials in Washington State have such a skewed view of motorcyclist and the conclusions that can be drawn from this media release. It's like saying that people who drive pickups are a danger to the public because they don't wear seatbelts, get bad gas mileage, and have trash fly out of their trucks. Pickups are bad so lets target pickup truck drivers and fine them for everything we can think of until no one drives pickups. Its BS!

We, just like you, do not particularly like our goverment forcing us to do things either. I and most of the people I know spend a great deal of time traveling in Washington State and this would have big ramifications on us as well. We still get away with wearing non DOT helmets for the time being and many of us do not own the DOT kind. I for one and probably alot of my friends will not be spending the money to purchase a DOT helmet until we absolutely have to, so I guess this will curb alot of Canadian Bikers from traveling South and spending our hard earned cash to help speed your economy into recovery.
I am all for personal choice.
Oh well....so much for attending the Oyster Run! Maybe see ya all next year!
