Cool Oil Temps on Various Builds

Okay, here we go... for those who monitor oil temp, what are you running temp wise on a warm day after 1 hour on the highway?
95

103

107

110

117 and up?

Same question but what does your temp run when you are in traffic on a warm day?

What oil are you using and have you noticed a drop in temp if you went to full Synthetic?

Is an 88 or 96 not a "build" just 'cause it's the stock displacement? This is crass discrimination.

The 95" Stage II motor in the '05 EGC I had previously ran about 212* average on the freeway on a hot day. It had the H-D Premium oil cooler.

103 stage II. HD premium oil cooler. Been 100 + for the last couple of weeks. Temp running anywhere from 235 to 265. Redline oil. Temp actually goes down when stuck at a light. Haven't figured that one out.

Maybe your map is too lean in the 2500 - 3000 range. Could have too much timing. What kinda fuel mileage?

My HQ 103 has temps (Measured at the pan) on hot day when moving 230 -240. If I get stuck in traffic or slow pace it will creep up to 250. Anything higher than that and I take a break. Went back to dino oil from synthetic and no change in temps. Got tired of paying $10 per qt. Figure I can change the Castrol dino oil every 1500 for $2 per qt.

Yeah, it's back in the shop as we speak. This will be the 4th time on the dyno. It's pinging now just when I'm running 70 mph with the cruise set. I would say that's a little lean! Fuel mileage is around 44 to 45 mpg on the hwy. I installed Dakota Digital guages a couple of weeks ago and they give head temps. That temp. has been running right at 290 - 295. Dealer says that's totally within reason. Hope he is right.
