senior experienced all-knowing leader of the unwise
180-185 highway, any temp or speed. 230 when stuck in extreme traffic jam on hot day. Sensor installed in pan(yes it's right).
103", SE 204 cams, HD oil cooler, SE air cleaner, SE street mufflers, PC V with autotune. Mobil 1 15/50 synthetic. It's the EPA cams that cause late model HD's to run hot.

No pinging, smooth as silk, but temp gets to 235-237 on hot days puttering around town. Still wondering what others are getting on their temps. I've been told that these run hot, but not much research or data has been gathered. As for synthetic oil, it actually ran hotter for me!!! I'm back to Dino, but really fine quality racing oil 20-50.
