J&M Speakers or HOGTUNES...
I recently upgraded my stock 09 FLHX speakers to: J&M speakers. They have the main speaker with a small mid-range & small tweeter on front of it. I am not really happy with the change in sound (not that much different). Should I go w/HogTunes and if so is the amp really necessary?

Pm Firecap501 he is a sponsor on the forum who really knows his stereo equipment. He is a seller of ARC speakers and amps. If you search on the forum you will see several write ups on him and his products. Great customer service and I believe he is running a group buy for forum members still for July.

My buddy ordered a set of the Hog Tunes and I helped him install them. After we had them in, we set the bikes side by side and tuned to the same station. We both have 08 Street Glides. We both did not notice really that much of a difference. If I were to do it, I would save the money on the speakers until I had enough to get an amp along with it. Just my 2 cents.

Hogtunes
Just installed the Hogtunes 902.2 front speakers with the Tweeter Pod on a 2006 FLHXI. Speakers installed easy. Tweeter Pod needed to have the holes a little larger to get a good fit. Not a real problem.
It did sound better but I was expecting a little more on the highs. It was definately louder which should be a good thing at Highway speeds which I still need to try out. IMO -- for the money, it was a good upgrade. I just hope they last.... Made in China!!!!
