Default Do YOU have a hydration vest?

With all of these posts going down about the heat, compression undies, etc - I thought I should share how great these hydration vests work to keep you cool. I figured it would be nice(r) but didn't realize the person who invented these was annointed with divine knowledge.

I wear the set up as follows:
Cotton T shirt + Hydration Vest + Mesh jacket. Temps were in the 100's but it felt like 70 degrees. They last a long time too, like 4 hours out here! They say they last 10 hours but that must be in Alaska or something.

I don't have the HD brand one, mine is generic but folks you will thank me later if you have never tried one of these and have been suffering in the heat. Suffer no more and get one of these!

There, I have done my good deed for the day and shared my vast knowledge of how cool (literally) hydration vests are.

Which brand did you buy? It's ok to list products other than HD... I'm looking into them now. Thanks. Feel free to PM me if you would feel more comfortable. Whatever works.

I use a T-shirt, "HyperKewl" deluxe evaporative vest and an H-D mesh jacket. 70mph and 100-110 degrees ambient temp and the vest will keep you cool for about a fuel stop. Soak it for 3-5 minutes with a qt water bottle and off you go again.

I occasionally use the mesh jacket, but have not tried the hydration system.

Yeah, the humidity has to be low... preferably around nil.
