I ride only because it gets great gas mileage.....
yeah right.....LOL

 

IMO that response is far more effective and less condecending than the standard, more common response of "if I have to explain, you would'nt inderstand". It's more friendly and doesn't sound like you're calling the other person stupid. After all, not everyone rides and relates to us and we have to educate them, not denergrate them.

 

My boss asked me one time why I ride a motorcycle. I responded with Why do you play golf? He just looked at me.. I said "Exactly" and went on to my job.

 

No one has ever asked me why. But if they did, I'd tell them that it's the only way you can marginally get away with wearing leather pants.

 

One thing I love about riding is that I don't have to listen to questions or answer them.

 

No one has ever asked me that question.

Guess I'm sorta lucky to have friends and family that just "get it". Most of my friends ride, and most of my family has at one time or another.

Just wish the wife would, again.

 

I'd rather push my harley than ride anything else...

 

1. I ride my bike because owning or even renting a jet is too expensive.
2. It is good on gas.
3. I always get a great parking spot.
4. It goes well with my old concert T-shirts.
5. I like to hear car alarms go off as I pass by.
6. Every ride is a gamble so it is always exciting.
7. I'm still young enough to do it yet old enough to afford it.
8. Here in CA, splitting lanes can be a real thrill.
