I made a couple calls today regarding the purchase of a Black BOSS FatCat pipe.

Eastern Performance...$929 (he didn't say if that included shipping)
M & M Cycles...$918 + $26 to ship, $944 total

Dealing with Mark @ M & M so much in the past, I went ahead and ordered from him.


Well, I called a Forum Sponsor this afternoon, located in CA.
I would have called earlier in the day but the time zones didn't allow it.
Being impatient cost me about $50 bucks.

I guess I lucked out. I bought a used set for 500 bucks on ebay.

There are only two baffles for this pipe. The standard (quiet) and the performance. I'm here to tell you the performance baffle is super duper friggen loud. Way too loud for anyone in my opinion.

I ended up buying and installing the standard baffle and its loud too. Nothing like the quiet baffle on the 08 and below fatcat. The 09 boss standard baffle is louder than the standard baffle on the 08s. Just a heads up.

How does this pipe differ from the D&D Fatcat, what is the "BOSS" or is that this way cuz it is powder coated??

Same pipe, different header. They just renamed it "Boss" for the 09's.
The Header has the little bend in it to accommodate the bigger rear end.

D&D Boss(fatcat) rocks!!

 

I did a search on the web and it looks pretty close to the normal D&D Fatcat that I bought, bit look like this is just for the 09's?

 

wonder if there is any way that the fatcat would fit on a 09?
