It is not the same muffler than the 08s. Its shorter and the baffle is much shorter. I think this is why it's louder. (to me anyway).

It also did not perform as well as the 08 pipe on my 09. Could be cause Jamie did not have a map dialed in for it when I purchased my PCV. Maybe it will be better once I get a good tune on it.

For me, the 08 pipe performed better and sounded better than the Boss pipe. I also don't like the bend under the passenger floorboard. It looks kinda like an after thought.

Yes the 08 pipe will fit the 09s.

Then why did they produce a new pipe for the '09+ ?

 

You can see in my sig where the header has the bend just below the passenger peg. The pre 09 is straight.

 

I have one on my 09... just hate that I had to pay a premium to get it over the pre 09 bikes
