I thought the throttle cables were one piece. what is the lower housing? Is that by the neck of the bike and is it half way down the cable? make sure the wires are plugged in on that as well. I just cant seem to figure out what they did. When my cables were too long on my 05 I had to replace the cable with a shorter on and it was the full cable.

I have an 09FLHTCU (as you can see in my screen name) and I had a problem with my cruise not setting. First indication was when I was riding at slow speeds and the check engine light came on. The next day went on a long ride and the check engine light was on and the cruise would not set. Swung by Nags Head HD and had the tech there (Dallas) hook it up to the diagnostic machine and did a few things with the switches and what not. In the end, he ended up replacing the the switch with the wiring harness.

Hope that helps.

sorry not to be clear. the lower part of the switch housing on the trottle side. its the part that the two cables go into - that is what was replaced. the cables kept poppoing out and the throttle was loose. thank you pittz.
