1. Your Height? 5'11"

2. Your inseam? 32"

3. Make of windshield? (Mfr./model/type/height etc.) Clearview 14"

4. Type of Seat? (Mfr./model) I.E. Corbin/Solo or HD/Touring Courbin Dual Touring

5. Do you have lowers? I.E. HD or Hogchopps or Soft HD hard lowers and HD soft lowers, removed during summer

6. Do you have a Tourpak mounted on the bike? Chopped tourpack

7. Do you have a buffeting problem now? Describe in full of how bad? I.E. at what speed? one or/and two up riding? only on windy day? Slight buffeting at 75-85mph

8. Add any other comments that you may want to express about solutions and what helped. Clearview shield that is correct height helps alot,

note that taller shields can add buffeting, as have a tall detach sheild on my Dyna and with that you can adjust shield up and down on fork legs, I actually have less buffeting with the shield lower than higher..

4.Stock
5.No
6.No

8.Get a blurred view due to looking through recurve in shield. But if I sit up straight or slouch down just a tad more either way it is clear. It just seams I am always at that position where it is a little blurred.

1. Your Height?
6'3"

2. Your inseam?
34"

3. Make of windshield? (Mfr./model/type/height etc.)
Stock - Love the ride, hate the look
Low Profile HD smoked screen for around town.

4. Type of Seat?
Stock

5. Do you have lowers? I.E. HD or Hogchopps or Soft
Yes, HD hard lowers

6. Do you have a Tourpak mounted on the bike?
Yes Detachable

7. Do you have a buffeting problem now? Describe in full of how bad? I.E. at what speed? one or/and two up riding? only on windy day?
Not really buffeting, but the stereo is hard to hear with the short shield. Stock is damn near perfect.

8. Add any other comments that you may want to express about solutions and what helped.

1. 6' 0" tall

2. 32" inseam

3. Clearview Medium +1" (did little to cure buffeting)

4. Stock HD Seat, like it enough to keep it

5. Ran soft lowers through winter, switched to HD Hard Lowers this spring

6. Detachable Ultra Tour Pack

7. Soft lowers helped the buffeting but Hard Lowers have eliminated 98% of it

8. Changing windshields had little effect. When removed the soft lowers this spring, the buffeting increased dramatically so I switched to HD Hard Lowers and that cured 98% of the buffeting problem. For me, I hardly noticed any change by simply changing windshields. For the record, the Clearview +1" (Medium) is just about nose level. I look over the top of it most of the time unless going up a grade. The Clearview lacks style though but is quality made / thick. All windshields are grossly over-priced. Get hard lowers, you won't be sorry. Guys in "hot" States run them year round as do most Ultra owners.

Here is what I would like to do. I will list a few numbered questions and would like you to simply put the number down with an answer. I will follow this post with my own answers as a guide. 2. Your inseam? 34"

3. Make of windshield? (Mfr./model/type/height etc.) Cee Bailey 15" Euro

4. Type of Seat? (Mfr./model) I.E. Corbin/Solo or HD/Touring C&C Squareback

5. Do you have lowers? I.E. HD or Hogchopps or Soft HD Lowers with aftermarket vents

6. Do you have a Tourpak mounted on the bike? King Tour Pak - quick detach

7. Do you have a buffeting problem now? Describe in full of how bad? I.E. at what speed? one or/and two up riding? only on windy day? No

8. Add any other comments that you may want to express about solutions and what helped. Seat and windshield are the two things that helped me the most. Lowers I could have lived without.

Thanks again.

Height: 5' - 11"
Inseam: 32"
Windsheild: Klock Werks 12"
Seat: Stock - Waiting for my new Harley Hammock to arrive
Lowers: None
Tour-Pak: Yes - Detachable King Tour-Pak
Buffeting: Yes, I get enough buffeting to make my glasses shake at anything above 65 - 70 mph.
Comments:
1) Need to find a better windsheild solution but won't bother until I get my new seat; not sure how my ride height will be affected yet.
2) Waiting for matching rear boards to be available for the 09 SERG; my wife likes boards better than pegs.
3) Would like to try some Arnott air shocks as soon as they are available

standard RG except a comfort stitch seat from an EG that I bought on EBAY. 6'0" 32 inseam. What I have noticed is that there is no buffetting when there is no wind. When you have a strong wind you can get some. I do not see this as a problem. If you want still air buy a car.
