Default Anyone Using The New SE Touring Muffler

I did a search and cant find much. I just sold both my 09 Heritage and my 09 EGS and purchased a 09 Road King and was thinking about this muffler.

Either that or I will go back with the V&H Monster Ovals but I didn't want to spend the money right now. So if anyone has any info on the SE Touring pipes I would appreciate any info.

Well, according to our buddy Al Gore the world is going to catch fire in 50 years, and trust me he knows he has a Nobel prise and invented the internet. so just about every thing harley makes is per EPA. So my vote is no on the SE pipes not much louder then stock at all and not much performce if any.

I have them on my SG. Not too loud and I like the look. I need to put up a new sig pic. The new muffs aren't on the bike in the sig.

have them on my 09 rg and like the fact they are not too loud. nice growl on the throttle but can hear tunes while cruising. have a heavy breather with a fuel pac also and bike runs just fine, cooler, and still get great mpg. had rush with 2" baffles on my eg classic and too loud. ran great but deafening. se pipes work for me...

I have the SE Touring Slip-ons on my '09 Ultra; a little louder than stock and street legal in all 50 states. I had V&H Ovals but they got too loud for my liking. My scoot has a full Stage 1 with SE Touring Slip-ons, SE A/C, and SEST tuner and it runs strong.

Best advice i can give you is to find a bike with the sound you like and get those mufflers. I had RineHarts on after the first 1000 miles and then went back to stock and then i found a set of brand new in the box 2000 SE mufflers for 40 bucks at a dealership and put them on and had the bike dyno tuned for the third time and love the sound of these muffles with no cat. and they look good and on the bike and say Harley Davidson on the bottom if any one wants to looks to see if they are OEM. Yes they are, just not for 09.

I have Supertrapp SE's on my '09 FLHX. They are by far the best sounding muffler I have had on all my bikes. They have a deep rumble, not loud at idle or cruise. They sound great when you crack the throttle and are radio friendly. The new Screamin' Eagle mufflers are 4" in diameter, the Supertrapp's are 3 1/2" in diameter. I purchased them 3 weeks ago when I was at Rapid City HD while riding the black hills. The parts manager refused to sell me Screamin' Eagles (as I planned on purchasing) and I am glad. I have the Paul Yaffe afterburner end tips and they look great. According to the parts manager Supertrapp used to make the Screamin' Eagle II's for HD but no longer so they decided to make them on their own. The only down side is that when I returned home I noticed that the mufflers were starting to turn blue. I had the mufflers ceramic coated in sterling silver by a company called Jet Hot Coating and they look great. Here is the link to Supertrapp.

Why would someone "refuse" to sell you something that you came in to purchase?

Cool

Had them on my 07 ultra and there was no difference between them and the stock IMO, sold them for $100, and went to rineharts. Much better and I can still here the radio.
