HD black.
The chrome ones cost almost double and dont make the bike go faster!

BUT supposedly Chrome filters versus black do make it radiate more heat! (Believe it or not.)

Car Quest oil filter, black. They are made by Wix. Mobile 1 oil.

Black radiates more heat than chrome. That's why GM and others started painting their engines black years ago.

I've always used H-D filters, chrome or black. I will however be changing to K&N filters next oil change because the welded on nut makes them (WAY) easy to remove!

I got a bunch of the black HD filters off ebay, more than I can use, and will let them go for $6.00 each plus shipping for as many as you want until they are gone. It is part number 63731-99a. Just email me if interested.

Wix has been making filters since the begining of time.
they make filters for Napa and other.
