With the standard warrenty they should exchange if they have one. My 07 ultra has been at the dealer for well monday will be a month, 2+ weeks for new radio and now the tranny main shaft is bad. They even told me not to run belray 75-140 because it is too thick and starves the tranny????? makes no sence to me.

...my '08 Ultra has a bit over 9000 miles and work good so far...

 

I'm assuming the bike is still under warrenty...Harmon and Harley will warrenty it. My audio plug in my 07 went bad and after bitching a little...it was replaced...had the radio in 3 days.

 

To be honest, the radio has been great. i got over 27,000 miles on it now. I stopped at a store and came out and it has no output. It lights up and all funtions work just no sound. I've got the ARC mini and the hogtunes 6way system. The music is part of this bike.
So, I couldn't wait 2 weeks with the hole in the dash so I ordered up the Hawg Wired mounting kit and new Adapter and also the JVC KDAVX77 this morning.{Thanks GTSDESIGNS for the info}
Guess I will have a nice new radio for Fleabay when I get the call from Harley.

 

The audio input for your MP3? That's what went south on mine too.

 

I had the same problem with my 2008. The tech found a broken wire in the main harnes just in front of the gas tank. He was lucky to find it within 1/2 an hour.
