I use a Garmin nüvi 200 with a RAM mount. I carry a zip lock bag to slip over it if it is raining and I need to use it. Gonna pick up one of these eventually to hardwire it.

I have run Car GPS on my bike for the last 2 years. I am running a Nuvi 765 on my bike now. Just keep some zip locks and zip ties with you for those rides in the rain.

I hardwired mine to the battery with an accessory circuit I built. I also have it wired in to my autocom so I can hear the commands.

Get a motorola cell phone charger with the mini usb plug for the car. It will charge in the port on the side of your 330. I use it all the time it works great.

I use a Garmin Nuvi 750 with no problems. I have a ram mount including the aqua box. Never a problem. Just remember to remove it if you go in somewhere. garmin guys told me the only difference between the Nuvi and the Zumo is the waterproof case

I'm running a Garmin nuvi 760 on my bike with the ball mount. I hardwired it to the ignition switch.
Looks nice and clean even when I don't have the GPS on the bike.

Garmin Nuvi 265T with the same mount - great mount - get it on Ebay - worth the extra money.

been using a nuvi 770 (also comes with european maps) for the last 2 years. ram mount, plug into cig lighter, cabled to the aux on the radio, and its good to go. never a problem. not worried about the rain. don't use fm or bluetooth capability. don't need it. bought it for the gps functionality.

Default Nuvi 760 worked well

Used my Nuvi 760 on a Ram mount through 7 countries and 7000 miles in Europe this last year. When there was a light rain I put a ziplock bag around it. When it rained hard I removed it and put it in my bag. It worked pretty well other than not having detailed maps for some of the Eastern European countries.

Didn't use the Bluetooth feature.

I traveled on some pretty bad roads and offroad at times as well. A couple times it turned itself off or required re-booting from the vibration. I was on a Suzuki 650 dual sport though which was well suited to the type of riding I did.

I bought the Garmin Streetpilot 2720 from megagps.com for 128 bux, and it waterproof.
It has been referbished, but it looked brand new and it works just fine. I had to buy another wireing harness from Garmin to hardwire it in.

I use my SUVs Garmin Nuvi 660 on my bike too. It was a very expensive unit years ago (when I bought it, over $700) and I couldn't justify another one seperate for the bike, even if less expensive.

I mountd it on a RAM Nuvi cradle from www.cyclegadgets.com and I run the power from the GPS to the cigarette plug directly below in my fairing. When not being used, I simply remove the GPS Unit and power cord and stow them or put them back in my SUV. I don't use it for wireless but may try that in the future. I did find I needed a sun shield and got one from www.glarestomper.com which velcros on nicely enough and helps somewhat with the glare. For rain protection I carry a few plastic sandwich baggies and rubber bands in case I need to cover over the unit while being used.

And no, I have had NO issues using the bikes cigarette plug port. It works fine for me.
