I think you mean the New York Rally in Binghamton this coming weekend.. being that there is not a whole lot to do there i would head to Bike week in Gettysburg, Pa. It's 30 bucks for 3 days (which saves you money over Hog rally) and that includes entrance into Thursday night's Molly Hatchet Concert.. Let's see a Molly Hatchet Concert or a ride to a couple Harley Dealers... No brainier for me!!

I wouldn't go back to New Jersey for anything unless I had no choice in the matter.

Never been to the rally but I know the area and there are some really nice rides. Northwest NJ, Delaware Water Gap, Eastern PA, Orange County NY have some of the best roads in the country. I'm sure you won't be disappointed, unless it rains....
The ski resort should have some nice lodging too.

I grew up in Warwick, NY on the Vernon border. If you go be sure to check out Orange County Choppers about 45 min away in Newburgh, NY. Greenwood Lake and Sterling Forest will have good riding as well. Amity and Pine Island NY is close and is all open flat onion fields with some nice riding around as well.

I know the scenery and riding will be great. What about the Rally itself, vendors, etc?

Kinda strange that most of the rides are in New York. Sad part is, they sound better than what the NY Rally (going on now, which I skipped) had to offer.

Guess I'll give it a shot. Not to far from me. Still can't believe no one from this board has gone to this.
