My old 2002 CVO RK had 480 miles on it when it was hit in the rear by a pick-up truck. It required a new frame and any part that had even the slightest mark was replaced. There was $11,000 damage to the bike and his insurance company paid it all.
My local HD dealer disassembled the bike cut off the neck and sent it to Harley with the proper paper work they pulled a new frame out of stock and applied the same numbers as the original frame. You title is not affected in any way.
It's in the dealers best interest to repair a bike properly and mine was as good or better than new.
