Default CB radio questions!

We are headed on a 4000 mile trip with a couple of buddies on our road kings. One guy has an Ultra w a CB and wears a helmet.
We are checking to see if there is anything on the market that can work for us hemetless riders and still be able to talk with the CB guy.
It looks like JM has the deal but it cost $500. each and is made for hemets.
Some one mentioned ICM- looks like a blue tooth-
Scala rider has some bluetooth deals that operate on channels to 14- but no one that sells em can tell us if the scala 14 is the same as a CB 14.
I wish some mfg gave demos on all this stuff so we could try it out before we bought it. Info is very limited in all the promos.

I run a cobra handheld cb with an IMC headset that can be worn with or without a helmet. Total for the entire set-up is less than $200.

IMC is a forum sponsor, so i'm sure you can track down their website around here somewhere. As far as the radio itself, here is a link to the product page. I have mine mounted via ram mount on my rear saddlebag guard, so its basically next to me. http://cobra.com/products/handheld-c...r-soundtracker

The headset i use is this one : http://www.imcmoto.com/home/device-h...set-hs110.html

Check-out Sierra Electronics for packages that include handheld CB, handlebar mounting bracket, headset/mic/PTT, etc.:

About $200.

FWIW, i did get mine from sierra, but didn't feel the need to pimp them too much Decided that since IMC is a sponsor i would try to refer the business to them. I did have excellent service from sierra though
