Has anybody remove the steering lock on a 98 RK, and would care to share how?

 

It is where one either installs the HD garage door opener or installs a regular garage door opener and attaches it to their high beams so that when you hit your high beam button the garage door opens.

if you plan on keeping the bike it may be best to bite the bullet and get the service manual for your model and year. what you'll save doing oil changes alone will pay for it in short order.

Yea, I will be getting the service manual. Just doing the things that I need to to get the scoot in good riding condition first. IE 2 up seat, the ability to open the garage door without getting off it. Day cover is next then the service manual. I figured the manual would be needed just about the time I needed to do my first servicing.

 

Even a $2 screwdriver will work!
