Funny my cruise is orange when not in use and green when engaged. No yellow at all.

Glad Harley didn't make my car or truck-there'd be a turn signal stalk on each side of the steering wheel since it'd be stupid to use one stalk on the left side

At one time I had a '79 FL, a 75 XL & a '68 Norton Commando. I never knew where to shift, brake, signal, (still confused some days but it's age-related now )

My right hand's doing a lot as is - and typically I activate the turn signal and accelerate simultaneously, which is now a bit trickier on the Harley. My left hand - now all it does is man the left turn signal, scratch my nose, and do the biker wave thing.
You will get used to it. I remember the first harley Sportster I rode. It was a friends bike, I rode it about ten miles.....never knowing where the hell the right turn signal switch was.
About you accelerating when you use the righty, J&P cycles sell a switch cover that makes it easier to reach the switch(s) with your thumb. It is an easy stick-on thing. I used one of my fatboy and now on the ultra.

Came off a Honda Shadow (Sabre) also into my first HD (1996 RK) and absolutely loved that the turn signal switches made sense.

And no doubt - Hazard flashers. Nice. Very useful (especially around here).

Since you chose to ride a foreign machine, you never got to experience this fine evolution. Quit whining and learn it.
My Jap bikes turned the signals off years ago. The new thing that I find really neat is the fact that my Sportster signals won't turn off unless there is enough of a lean during the turn.

Maybe HD can make a special 'lil punk' model for guys/gals like you...
