Check out this website www.thegaragefather.com They make detachable fairings for about $700
I made mine for about $50 and had alot of fun at the same time. thanks though![&:]
Your bike looks real nice, but I was actually giving this info to the thread starter$50? maybe just for brackets. How much for the Fairing...Their kit comes complete with the Fairing.

Yea, I know. I got lucky cause my fairing had been pretty badly scraped on both sides and was headed for the dumpster when I got it. I have seen them on e-bay, both inner and outer fairings for around 300.00 in pretty good shape. It's like anything else, if you want to be patient and want to do it yourself, you might be able to save a couple of bucks. I like the Garage Father setup and the Dead Center "lockable" removable fairing.

I am diggin' the Dead Center fairing even though it is kinda pricy. They are the only ones that say will work with apes. Thay may look really dumb though?????? To bad it isn't a quick swap of bars when I want to go back and forth on those as well.

I feel like I am showing up at the party kinda late but I just ran across this forum while searching for fairings to fit my 01 RKC.
Vernh59, I like your idea of a customizing an Ultra fairing. Do you have any close-up photos on how you modified the inner and outer fairing shells to fit the forks and around the headlight? Where did you attach the brackets you made? I know the spots on the inner fairing to bolt the brackets but where on the bike. Did you just use the attachments that the window brackets you? I have been looking at the inner fairing pictures figuring it could be done but there is still some questions in the back of my mind.

Thanks

Richard
