Default Panama City Thunder Beach Rally Hotels?

Hey all, figured I would ask this in the touring forum since, well we tour! Read some good things about this rally and we are lookin at doing the fall rally this year. Anyone got some first hand info on a couple of good hotels that ARE ON THE BEACH? Want to step out of our rooms and onto the beach to chill out. Some recommendations would be appreciated. Also if ya could note what their proximity is to the rally.

Thanks in advance!

The Thunder Beach Rally is streatched out all over Panama City Beach. I stay at the Holiday Inn resort but only because I have enough points to stay free. Go to www.thunderbeachproductions.com for sponser motels and venue locations.

Ive been to the spring rally the past 2 yrs. Stayed at the Boardwalk once and at a condo the next. There are endless hotels right on the beach that stretch for miles. IMO the best location is somewhere near Pineapple ******* and Club LeVela. Most of the venues are right around there.

The spring rally is awesome. Make sure you go to Ms. Newbys Bar Fri and Sat night!

FYI: love bugs are crazy around there that time of year. Be prepared.

We stayed at Edgewater resorts, which was awesome, right on the beach etc. There were quite a few things going on right across the street, but nothing is really far away from anything in Panama. It's not hard to get anywhere there really.

If you really love to party there is no place like the Sandpiper Beacon Motel($$$) and Tiki Bar. It's right on the beach and on Highway 98 (main drag).

Depending upon where you are riding, it will look like rain hitting your windshield. You really need to get them off your bike as soon as you can. Wash and wax up before you go, or if you have a really thick layer of dust and grime, it will protect as well.

The Thunder Beech link tells it all. Many good places to stay.

I only had a 150 mile ride to PC so the love bugs didn't get too bad.

If they do, several pretty little things along the beach will wash and dry your bike for tips
