Default Front brake squealing when not engaged

My front brake is always squealing a tad when not engaged. When I pull the front brake lever a bit, the squealing goes away. Can someone please explain why this would happen, and if there's anything I can do to remedy it?

Thanks -

its called brake drag, and is somewhat normal. best advice is to pull the calipers and clean the pistons and pad pins with brake cleaner. lyndall has a tutorial on their site.
