They took it to Bob's Welding up the road. Then a quick stop at Kmart for a can of Gloss Black and back to your place. J/K

Curious to find out what they do.

Wink

The big selling point of the 09s was the new frame. I would think MOCO would want that bike back at the factory as soon as possible! QC is the issue here and I am sure MOCO would like to nip this in the bud immediatly!

I don't think that Harley has to replace anything. They could have the frame welded and tell you good enough. The NTSB allowed Honda to do that with the Goldwind when they had welds crack. They would reweld the frame and that was all. Everybody that had the problem wanted a new bike or a new frame but they were only required to weld the frame. There is alot of history out on the web about the frame breakage on the Goldwing that pertain to this.

I don't think that is exactly right. Gold Wings did have a re-call on some years of frames but if during inspection they were found broken the the frame was replaced. On the others the suspected welds which were still hold fine were beefed up some.

Would have been funnier if a guy showed up with a welding truck and asked where your bike is.
