I thought you you could take the end cap of the SE Nightstick and put the Supertrapp discs on and adjust the volume, sound, and torque. Is this incorrect?
Have a '10 SG and want to keep it single exhaust and looking for a low rumble and sound but not much louder than stock (getting old and like to hear the radio). Was looking at either Rush or Nightstick. Haven't heard anything about the new V&H single pipe.
Thanks,
Phil

SuperTrapp does make several different models of pipes that use discs like you indicate. However, the "SE" model he is talking about does not have discs.

I've got the old style screaming eagle slip ons, with true dual head pipes. the whole system is SE. currently using the slash down tips. these pipes are not to loud at idle or at in town speeds. but at 70 mph you can really hear it. thats probably why they changed in 07' to a much quieter design.

I have the Rush 1.75" and they were ok, but now they are too loud for me. I might go with the EPA compliant Street Touring mufflers. I'm tired of loud and the massive decel popping of the Rush. With all the help I've received from the forum, I can't get rid of the damn popping.
I would go back to stock mufflers but I don't want to lose any more performance than I have to. I spent a lot of money on the 103"/255 kit.

I tried 3 sets of pipes before settling on the Jackpot Dyno Tuned with the quiet baffle. Don't be turned off by the "quiet baffle" thing. They are plenty loud enough for me with insert removed, especially with a little twist of the throttle. Read iclick's review of the Jackpots with a cam.
