No Left Turn Signal

No Left Turn Signal
After posting this problem on the Electrical/Ignition/Tuner ... forum, I realized that the higher readership level of this forum may provide better results.
While leaving on a five day (1800 mile) trip, my 2001 Roadking (FLHRCI) begen to evidence an intermittent problem with the left turn signal that now appears to have progressed to a permanent outage. When leaving for the trip, the right turn signal would periodically flash 3 times upon starting the bike. Whenever this occured, the left turn signal would not work and the security (key shaped) icon would light and remain lit until the ignition was turned off. I have unsuccessfully "change checked" the bulbs (front and rear) and moved the tail lamp multilock sockets in the rear tail light. The security system and the bike continue to function perfectly but the right turn signal now flashes 6 times upon starting the bike.
A new voltage regulator and stator was installed five months ago during the assmbly of a 95" Minton Build. Two weeks ago, a conversion of driving lights to operate on low and high beams (per instructions on this forum) was made.
I am currently thinking that the Turn Signal / Security Module may be the culprit. Any ideas before I go down that path are appreciated.

Dawg,
Thanks for your guidance. All of the wiring was inside the protective shroud and nothing appeared frayed or responded to being moved around so it appears to me that that the multilock socket is the problem. I tightened the bayonet contacts with tiny wire shims and will ride it this evening. If it is not the connector, I am thinking that its the circuit board inside the tail light assembly may have a crack.

Had the same issue it was the 4-wire black connector for the signal light and passing lamp. I pulled it apart and put some dialectric grease on the connector and then tie-wraped the connector together so it would not come loose. I spent the last week of a 5 week road trip trying to find this, IMHO I bet it's a flaw in the connector, find it and give it a try, best of luck, the purple wire is the one for the signal.
