Windvest Shield for a FLTR Yeah or nay?
Anyone have any input on a Windvest windshield for a Road glide? Im 5'9" and like to ride with my full face visor open for the most part, so Im looking for a screen that I dont have the edge in my line of sight, or too high so when it rains I cant see thru the shield (like the stocker), or be buffeted constantly and do like to hear the stereo at 70 mph.
There are too many versions of the results of the clearview, CW so Im not sure which way to go. So if anyone who is about the same height and does long touring rides lets here your experiences.

No experience with windvest.
Call John at Clearview and give him your specs height, inseam, seat changes if any, etc.). He can usually nail the right height for you and/or walk you though the measuing process. If you want to test drive one, he sometimes ships the one that seems best lets you mount it with the protective film on and drive it around to see how it performs for you. It's a little strange doing that because you can't see through it, but it'll let you know if you can see over it, feel the wind and listen to the stereo.

BTW - They sell blemished models (hard to see the imperfection) at 20% off. That's what I did and I could barely see the blem when he was pointing it out to me. Now that the windhield has miles on it and light scratches (wife cleaned it with a squeege at a gas stop), there's no way I could ever find the blem he pointed out.

I don't know about Windvests for Road Glides but I do know the one they make for Softails cracks very easy...........and the one I bought for my Bat Wing had in their instructions, that if I didn't mount it as exactly as they say, then I would probably crack the center hole on it too.
Windvests just aren't for me.
I've had my Clearview and Clarks windshields on and off, it seems like 100 times and I never had any trouble with either one of them.
