years ago with whitewalls i used to use ajax, comet, you know the powdered stuff that comes in a can with a perforated top to shake the stuff out? a scrub brush and water. but with chromed wheels, you would need to be very careful as most of the products contain bleach, which will corrupt the chrome finish of the wheels, and perhaps screw up the chrome. it does do a great job on whitewalls though.

Magic Erasers work great for me. Make sure to get the tire ones and you won't have a problem.

Put the bike on a lift and it takes about 5 minutes and your WW's look great
I agree... this is the best method for me, no matter how dirty they are. I get it up on a jack and use an SOS pad with a little water to gently scrub while rotating the tire. Then, while it is still wet, I wipe if off with a dry towel while again rotating the tire. They come out looking great and there is hardly any mess!

You rotate the tires too? Which way do we need to rotate the tires? Clockwise or the other way?

Comet & a Scotch Brite pad.
You don't even have to use much elbow grease.

Default Simple Green!

Simple Green solution with just a little warm water, a scotch non-abrasive pad, and a little elbow grease does the trick - non-polluting as well. Works great on the chrome while you're at it. I carry a small vial and pad with me on road trips - use it and hose it down, good to go! I always get comments on how good the whitewalls look Simple Green!

I use Bleech white, SOS pads and they both work pretty good for me, but A buddy swears by Simple Green all purpose cleaner, and another buddy says laundy detergent works, so go figure. No matter what you use, I imagine elbow grease is the most important.

Default Whitewalls

Magic eraser will work pretty good. Dont press too hard or it will shred. Just be patient as you work around the tire a few times. Be careful with the Westley's...it works great but it will dull the finish on the spokes. Keep it on the tire and will bring them white as new. Good Luck!
