Looks nasty IMHO. I've had to take mine off twice to be repaired and would not park the bike because of it. Didnt look hideous, but not for me.

Not for me. Looks like you forgot to put it on. But everyone has their own opinion. But check your state laws too. In WI you can get pulled over for it
