Alright, so I am also reading this post, I have 518s' on the old King and I thought I was really happy with them, WRONG; I had gone to the stealer yesterday and they have a Fugly with a a set of 517's married to the same seat set I have and the owner says to have a seat which I do. DAMMIT, they fit better than the 518's, are a little taller, narrower, close to same pullback but get the bars off my lap, shat and more shat, thought long and hard then dropped a dime on a set of 517's today from Phat. I am soooo weak.
Hope they get here quick so I can get them changed before the Colorado ride in May!!
Once the mods start they cannot be stopped!!!!!!!!!!!

Phat is behind on these but they expect them in a few days to ship, I should have them in three to five working days and on the bike in under a week from then when I get some 'spare' time. Also bought new mirrors, stock left side won't stay tight, stud end has stretched and had to add washers to get it to stabilize some, bought Kury Magnums with large heads as the guy's bike I tried the bars had them and they worked well with the height and width.

517's for me! 6'2", 200 lbs, 34" inseam. After I went to Wild Ones website and looked at all the specs compared to my stock '05 RK bars, the 517s won the vote for rise and pull back. I like to ride straight up or back a bit, too. Now, if I could only find the right seat. Arms, back and shoulders feel fine after riding, but legs are stiff even with highway pegs down low.

DIY install
Since my old post keeps getting downloaded (over 1400 times so far) I thought I'd dust it off and put in this sticky.
