Surprised no one mentioned the H-D Fat handlebar. It was debuted on the '08 CVO RK. Has that older wide bar look. it's on the 2010 P&A catalog cover with the flamed denim RK.

Looking for new bars myself, would have been nice to associate costs with all these options, being retired, that would be great info. Heritage bars for a 03 Road King, does anyone have a part number or just go to part guy at the counter. Need cable or wire change outs with these? thanks for any info.

Bars are such a personal item since we are all different dimensions and have our own tastes. I ended up with 513's and they really helped. Are they perfect for me, no. But they are way better than the stock setup.

I bought 508's off of Craigs list for $60.00 using all the stock cables and wires. I love the look and ride.

Anyway, I decided to go with the 515's (10") http://www.wild1inc.com/515lf.html as they are the right combination of looks (I do not like the really high apes on a bagger) and function for me. I am relaxed and have a natural wrist position and bend in the elbows with no feeling of "reaching" or tension.

I am surprised how I like them as I have always envisioned wanting a low and wide bar...but these rock.

Pictures over the weekend on this brand new ride.

Did you have to extend any cables? What year is your bike?
thanks

Bike is an 09 and yes I bought extenders for the wiring only. Think it was like $30

I don't want the t/i cables hanging down very far below the bar when done, and I may go to the 10" or 12.5" down the road sometime so I think these lengths will allow that. It seems that as I get older (57 , 6'3", 36" inseam) the body keeps changing therefore the ergonomics will too!
I'm thinking about putting these bars on my 2009 RKC. Did you wind up having to lengthen any cables? Do you have any pics you could post?
Thanks

518's over the 508's. I had them on my Heritage. My wife's has the 508s.
They come literally straight back, like roto-tiller handles. She likes em. Eeeh, whatever.
I (now) have the 503's w/risors. Better set up for me, even 518's were too
much wrist angle.

I'll bet 513s on a RoadKing would be about perfect.
