I'm kind of in the same situation a BIGBIRD. I'm buying a new 2013 Road King and need to get the handlebars back towards me a couple of inches. The Harley dealer says that I have to extend everything and the cost through them is prohibitive. So my question to any one that has replaced the bars on a new Road King, what bars can I use to accomplish getting them back and still use all the stock cables, etc.? I do have a call in to Wild 1 to see what they say.

Thanks Plow64...gave them a call and got a response in less than an hr...not anything I can do to the SG as far as bars that wont take about $500 to fix...so I guess I'd better be good to My Banker...

Hey buddy...I talked to Wild Ones and I'm putting the WO515 10" on my 09 RKC...no cable changes. It's not a 2013 but I think they are the same as far as fit and frame.

Bigbird, I just got rid of an 01 SG(Super Glide). Loved it! I put 16in apes on it and it rode like a couch.. If you want to jump into a set of bars before you can afford to get what you really want then you are always gonna regret it or change later for more money. I am 5'7" 29in inseam at 200 pds. Arms are about 5in. But the comfort change was amazing!!! Absolutly no more hands going to sleep, Shoulders sore or the tendonitis flare ups in the elbows!! Change the stinking cables and take the wife on a longer trip!

And not to make the other response to long!!
On my FLRC I have the stock bars which I have to reach for. Not good to be nice. I just recieved my WO502's and fitted them. Being shipped back and ordered the 14" 572's. Just gotta do it! My profile pic has the stock bars. I'll get some pic's posted once the 572's are on. Ape's are not everyones fortay, but the comfort level is amazing... Can't wait!!

Why not go with Yaffe Original bagger apes, can't beat the price at $99. Fit function and looks. Just a thought.
