As far as mounting under the nacelle cover , there are always things you can do to get it to work the way you want it to, stock riser clamp modification and variartions. Itz ez Love to see more sets of HD Fat bar and riser kits on Kings here, see if anyone else out there can make them look better than HD's marketing machine.
kb_jag: You hit the nail on the head! I love that "Fat" Road King look myself. Ever since I first rode a big Ol' 1963 Duo Glide, I've always preferred the RK's over every other Harley style. But also, it being my first set of 16's, like you said...the Harley advertising is what got me wondering...risers? No risers?

So, I have the risers...sitting...on my dresser, staring at me...in reserve, waiting to be called into the game .

Installed HD Heritage Bars on my '09 RKC. Since there is so much discussion about these (and I appreciate it!) I thought I would post a few pics to show how they fit me.
I am 6'6" and have a 37" sleeve. Needless to say I was challenged with which bars to get. The stock bars were actually usable for me, I just wanted the extra height (rise) and some pull back to be more upright and against my back rest comfortably.
I have about a 150 miles on them and have no issues with shoulder pain so far. Very comfortable.
In the process of deciding which bars to get, I had my dealer put the bike on a lift and put the new bars on without connecting everything. I then sat on the bike and tested them. They offered to do this at no charge if I decided I did not like them, which I mention because some of you may want to ask for the same service if you are undecided on bars. Just a thought, but I imagine not every dealer service department would be as accommodating.
Again, I really appreciate the tons of posts about bars in this thread, and others. It has been a great help.

Are they a real Job to install? I do have alil auto mech exp.
Thanks a head
Not sure if you ever got any info. I had the 575's on my 09SG. They are very nice bars but I didn't like the wrist angle. I changed to the Todd Cycle 10" bars. Check them out. I did the work myself and ran the wires inside the bars. Unless you have a bunch of experience, don't run the wires in the bars. Hope this helps, welcome to the forum.

Eddie,
I am in thr process of changing my stock bars on my 2013 CVO Ultra and am leaning toward the 577's. Do you have pics to share of yours. My quoted price from hdbikeparts is $440. Sound right?

Here's a picture of the apes and a reference of me riding. I'm 5' 7". Still that FAT, LOW style but with a lot of attitude!

The bars are WO509s. 16" Chubby apes with the stock cover and the HD double clamp.

You can tell by the smile on my face that I've NEVER been this comfortable.

I just placed an order with Rollies Speed Shop in Qld, Australia for some WO 572's for my 2011 FLHR. The only downside to living in Australia is that due to a back order scenario, I will not receive them until mid Jan, 2013. That gives me a little time to order new cables and wire extensions. What sizes would you recommend for the clutch cable and front brake? As I already have the HD Diamond back ( I think that's what they were called) I will go for these again.

I am so excited. I can not wait!

Recently put 13 Cyclesmiths on 2011 SG and love them. Just the right height.
