OK, I've been wading through these posts and I'm still not sure what I need. I have a 2010 street glide, I'm 5'9" with a 32" sleeve length and a 29" inseam and I just installed the drop seat kit from Paughco's which lowers my seating position about 3" and moves it back about 1.5-2". I love the seating position because I feel like I'm riding in the bike instead of on it. However, the stock bars are now a reach that causes me to lean forward and it is killing my lower back which is bad to begin with because of disk problems.
Ideally I think I need bars about 1-2" higher and 3+" back from stock. I'm not a fan of apes on a bagger, sorry guys :-), so I don't want the bars above the fairing. I think the WO575 bars might work but I'm not sure there is enough pull back but I don't know what other options might work. I would appreciate any and all feedback from all the great contributors on here. Thanks

I am 5ft 8in with a 30 inch inseam and have had the Wild1 508 bars on our RKC for a few days. I feel noticeably more in control of the bike, and I no longer have to lean forward. They are a huge improvement over the stock bars. My only complaint is the 1/8 inch gap on the clutch side where the housing meets the bars, though it seems a common issue amongst many.

This is such an amazing thread.. never have I thought about the impact of the position we ride in, and how the handlebars effect our comfort. With our arms low, as soon as they extend, the rotator cuff is recruited (may or may not feel uncomfortable right away - there are 4 muscles around / behind the shoulder), which will eventually fatigue, and put a lot of pressure on the rhomboids (diamond shaped muscle in the middle of the upper back). Since this affects a lot of structures on / around the spine, you can then start to get continued fatigue (muscle fatigue runs up the body), and a pinched nerve in the upper back or lower neck when things start to go out of alignment, and a nerve is impinged (pinched) between a muscle and something else (kind of like the pain you get in your ***** sometimes - usually more the right one than the left - that comes and goes when your piriformis muscle is acting up, and you think you have ******** cancer... has anyone ever experienced this?). I love this stuff... and thank god I finally have a use for 4 years in med school!

Looking for opinion. Im 6'5" and Im looking at wild 1 bars. What would be a better height the 12.5" or the 14"? I like my arms a little lower then sholder height. What lenght cables would I need. Just looking for opinions before I buy so I dont wish I bought the other.
