Im running the HD Heritage Style Bars on my FLTRX and they are almost perfect. But I have them pulled back as far as possible before they hit the dash so they really are not very tall. The WildOnes Mini Apes 10" or the Outlaw Apes are close to the same and have the 1.25 diameter. I tried a set of the RG bars 517 on my bike too much pull back for me.

If I could find them I think a set of bars like the 504 but with about 4" more height and 4" pull back would be about right.

Good stuff here. I want to change the bars on my 2010 EGC and see too many options to consider. Tough call. I want to avoid any cable changes for now.

Default wo 515

Trying to find out what all will need to be changed to put wo515s on a 2006 RK.The dealer said all cables and wire ext. Quoted me 10 hours labor. I have 30 years exp as an auto mechanic so I think I can handle this. Just like to have all the parts before I tear it down.

HELP! im a good mechanic, but changing bars on an ultra is an expensive and time consuming affair, any suggestions? im 5'10 35inseam 36arms, i have ape arms and ape legs for my height, but am hurting between the shoulders, after 1 hr of riding, no health issues, i feel like im reaching out and down for the bars, sucks!

Changed my own bars but I also installed a painted inner fairing at the same time...that was time consuming but not hard. The bars alone wouldn't have been that big of a deal.
The cost was in the neighborhood of 510.00. I went with 12.5 bagger apes by Wild1.
HANDLEBAR APE 12.5""FLH" $ 174.36
CBL LINE KT (Clutch cable and SS brake lines)12-14""08-1" $ 207.96
WIRE KIT EXT 15"" 07-10" $ 44.76
WIRE EXT TBW 15""08-10" $ 35.96
Hard bushings for handlebar mount $ 26.95

Here is my 2012 Fltru with WO612 12" Outlaws in Chrome. They were very uncomfortable to me (Rode from Dallas TX to Cleveland OH) so I have sold them and replaced them with WO502 12.5" Apes in Chrome. I will post a pick of the new ones when I get some pics. I will say that I love the new apes, not too tall but tall enough so I am not leaning forward to reach the bars.

Just put wildones 502 12.5 inch on the roadking. it's got a mustang seat and I'm just a hair shy of 6' the bars run straight up the line of the forks and are about perfect for me.
I don't reach forward anymore like I used to. I can't imagine it being much more comfy than what it is right now.

Default '06 Road King Bars

I'd like to replace my stock bars with something that has a little more pull back (I think) so I don't have to reach so far. Is there a bar that I can get to help with this without having to replace the throttle and clutch cables? I'm 5'9'' with 33' reach.
Thanks
