I suppose a good way to judge if taller bars would work for you is where do you normally place your hands on the steering wheel when you drive. If they're normally at the top, you might do better with taller bars. If you normally drive with your hands at the bottom of the wheel, maybe you'd better stick with lower bars.

I have a 2005 Road King Custom, still running the stock bars. I bought a set of Carlini Drag bars but I'm 5'8" and I think it's too forward leaning for me... I don't want to ride stretched out so doesn't look like I'll be using them.

I just got my 2010 Road King. I had Wild One 10.5's installed... Very happy indeed. I think I could have gone with the 12's but I'm very happy with these....

I'm 6'0" 200lbs 34 sleeve, got a Mustang solo and love it, but really reaching for the OEM bars. I like the specs on these WO517s, but I'm curious about the wheelbarrow effect. Anyone care to comment on the wrist angle? I can't stand these stock bars any longer!

Thanks, Mike

I've got some WO576 14" Blackout bars on my 2007 FLHX. I've got a tallboy seat on there and the grips are right had shoulder height. I'm about 71.5" tall. I've also got the Hogtunes tweeter bar installed on the inner fairing and that prevents me from pushing the handlebars forward about 1-2 inches. I've got a long reach and I could stand to push the bars up a bit, but they are perfect for leaning back on the backrest and cruising on the highway.

As far as the wrist angle goes, the first few weeks it was a little awkward, but I've gotten used to them now and really enjoy them. I was originally going to spring for some black 13" cyclesmith bars, but the shop who put em on recommended the Wild Ones since the internal wiring hole was much wider for threading that needle. The cyclesmiths opening sometimes has to be ground with a dremel to open up the hole, and then you run into the possibility of chaffing the wire with the idle shake on the touring bikes.

I have a 2009 RK, and have been looking at the 508's, but was just curious if anyone knew if the stock wiring and cables work for it, clutch, break, electronic throttle, control wiring, etc. etc. Thanks for the good thread!

Do you have a picture of your bike?
