I know I should but no. I'm guilty of wearing boat shoes, tennis shoes, even dress shoes, but just for short hops to the store or something like that.

Wear boots 99.8% of the time. Once in a while if just going to the corner store for cigs. will go with tennis shoes. Never flip flops or shorts.

When I was young and stupid I wore tennis shoes. Now its boots....and that goes for my passenger as well. Better to be safe than sorry.

Sneakers all the time for 29 years of street riding and still have all my toes. I do however wear steal toes boots for woods riding on the dirt bike which I've been doing for 32 years but started with sneakers and eventually learned. I periodically drop the dirt bike and wear protective gear... it's part of woods riding! I don't plan to drop the Harley and if I do, I suspect I'll be worried about more than my toes.

Boots, Levi's, eye protection, and gloves. Even if I'm going on a 3 min ride to the Corner store. Accidents can happen anytime, anywhere!!!! PS Long sleeved shirt ,also.
