Always wear boots. When communting, I switch from my boots to dress shoes when I get to the office. I wear chaps over my dress pants and remove them at work.

Chippewa safety boots.....brand-spanky new pair every year.
The dept I work for requires them and pays for them.
This years new boots will be worn riding, and last years boots
will become work boots.

Boots (Caterpillar lace-ups or Durango harness) when in casual attire, leather dress shoes when riding to the office.
Open primaries just give me the heebie-jeebies. My imagination is just too vivid and wild.

Lightweight Bates tactical boots, high tops. Sturdy and comfortable to walk in when I get where I'm going.

pretty much whatevrr is on my feet when I decide to leave. I don't wear flip flops, I hate the things.
Back and forth to work and on rides I wear all of my gear, but if I'm just running down to auto zone or something i just jump on and go.

Boots, Steel toe. Waterproof. No way will I wear sneakers. I do a lot of city riding.
So I wear my soles for a variety of reasons.
1 protection,
2 the occassional asswhoopin with my boot.
