interesting....over 90% have responded with 'boots'...I wonder why.
Is it for safety reasons?

In states that do not have helmet laws.....I wonder if 90% wear helmets...and 90% wear boots..?

 

It is for me. Might be false security, but I'm just not comfortable riding with anything else. But then again, I pretty much wear boots all the time.

 

Always wear my tall HD riding boots.

 

these gear police threads are always good for a laugh. wear whatever the f you want and dont call people "retards idiots or Ghey" for not wearing what you consider to be proper attire. everyone who throws a leg over a motorcycle knows that skin to pavement will hurt real bad. if they choose to wear less gear, its only going to affect them so i dont see the point in forcing opinions on other riders.

i learned to ride on sportbikes, where standard attire was an armored leather suit. no doubt the safest way to go, but how many HD riders do you see wearing one. to call people dumb for not wearing boots, then follow that up with "i always wear boots and levis" is just silly. denim lasts about 3 seconds on the tarmac. only you can decide how much gear you want to wear.

 

I almost always wear my HD boots. Every now and then I will wear my tennis shoes.

 

Riding Boots @ ALL times Unless I'm in Hawaii where it's Flip-Flops and Board Shorts...

I've seen a guy go down with his foot stuck under the bike....looked like he put his ankle on a grinding wheel. Had a 1/2" of his ankle ground flat. Boots for me...

 

Always wear boots...I like the Icon Super Duty 2 riding boots.
