In the process of ordering all the mods to build the '06 Road Glide that is due to ship June 2nd. Dealership just informed me that if I chose to do a 203 or 211 cam mod that it will void the warranty. Since I need to place this parts list ASAP in order for the parts to be here when the bike is delivered I need to make a decision.

Should I sacrifice motor warranty for performance, or just stay with the factory cam ????

 

Hmmm that is strange i had the BB 95 SE Stage 11 kit installed in my ultra , with the 203 cams before i picked it up. I was told that is did not void anything and that it is good for the factory 2 year warranty. had i waited the kit was only good for a 90 day warrenty. i would guess that it is up the each dealership on how they deal with mods and warranty

 

I tal;ked To the Stealers also it will void you warranty when putting a Cam

 

They are telling me that because I am also changing out the exhaust pipes, the combination of the 203 cam and after market pipes would void the motor warranty.

I thought I'd heard different before, that anything higher than the 203 cam would void the warranty,

The same guy at the dealership that told me about this warranty issue also suggested that if I do decide to do the cam mod, might as well go with the 211 cam.

Before I took delivery of my 06 SG, I had the dealer install the 95" kit, S&S gear to gear cams, mild head work, 25 d injectors, Harley download, and they also installed my 2 into 1 pipes. Before they did the work, my main concern was the Factory warranty. The Service Manager who is a straight shooter said warranty was not an issue because the work was being performed at the dealer.

I just researched this and the 203 cam is part of the Stage II big bore kit. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I guess the only remaining issue is whether the Stage II kit together with the T Rex true dual voids the warranty ?????

 

I had the SE Big Bore kit installed before I took delivery. Warranty was intact for the full 2 yrs.
Now the PowerCommander and the Bassani might raise concerns[8D]

 

at my dealer they warranty it as long as its h.d. parts installed at an h.d. dealer.

 

If the dealer does the work, how could it void the warranty? The parts you are getting are HD parts. The pipes and PCIII should not be a concern either. If the PCIII was a problem, get the SERT. It sounds like the dealer is not willing to back up his own work. Is there another dealer you can go to?

Thanks for the replies thus far. Sure, there are other dealerships here in Phoenix, but I wouldn't deal with them. I've worked with Buddy Stubbs for years and respect and appreciate the experiences thus far.

I'm starting to think the sales guy that informed me of this today gave me incorrect info. I called and spoke to the service manager and he informed me that it would not void the warranty.

I'm going in there tomorrow and get to the bottom of this.
