Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Someone was definately off base on that one!!

That sounds more like it. If you think about, thats how the MoCo/DealerNetwork makes most of their money, thru the sale of parts and accessories. Why would they void warranties and cut their own throats.
Probably not the first, nor the last time a salesman will get something wrong

 

I asked my service manager about it and was told it voided my warranty. A friend of mine 3 weeks later bought a new ultra and was told the only thing NOT covered was the cam itself. Same dealership (Dothan, AL).
Who knows???????

Went in to the dealership and got the straight answer from the VP. The Stage II 1550cc kit w/ the SE203 cam does not void warranty with Harley Davidson, with any after market pipes installed. The only requirement is that the work must be performed by the selling HD dealership mechanics before initial delivery and before SWR (I forget what the SWR stabds for but it has to do with the final modification list supplied back to HD warranty dept.

So bottom line all is good; parts get ordered tomorrow and the bike should be born in about 1 week; delivered about June 7th. Should be breaking her in by JUne 14th.

 

Really don't think it has to be done before delivery. I've been told by 2 dealers that the work performed on the bike is "married" to that bike. Long story short, use HD parts and within 120 days after delivery, no warranty issues. Just last week, my bike coughed a little during the starting process, noticed a bit of smoke coming from the rear head, called service, bring it in........ faulty gasket, fixed under warranty

 

And since these motors run forever it really does not matter other than piece of mind!

 

If you put the parts on before delivery of the bike you enjoy a 2 year warranty on the parts. If you put the same parts on after delivery you get a 90 day warranty on the same parts. That is Harleys warranty policy...
